Highlights for this year: We opened the entertainment season at Spinner's Resort and Theresa broke her longstanding rule and had us fill in for a bond who canceled the following week. When it works it works! Thanks Theresa for the vote of confidence. Key West LOVES Spinner's and many of our fan's have become members. Also we are back at the SC Poultry Festival on the main stage Saturday evening. If you have never been to this festival you need to. Its very large and has one of the biggest fireworks shows in the state! The fireworks will be about an hour after we play so come hear us, dance on the street and enjoy the night.

Well we survived 2010 and are looking to have a wonderful year. Look for BIG changes this year.

There will be special quest joining the band from time to time so you never know what you will be missing!!!

Key West is your best value between large beach bands and DJ's. I hired a DJ once for a wedding and my iPod could have saved me $500.00! A good DJ starts at $500.00 and goes up above $1,000.00, so why would you hire an iPod when you could have the amazing talent and experience of Key West. We are priced affordably between a good DJ and larger bands. Discover what the happiest brides have found for the music at their reception - The Key West Band

The band Key West began as a two piece duo back in 1989. It was two close friends (almost like brothers) making good acoustic/electric 70’s style music. Later adding a female voice, they expanded their music to add more harmony, dance and variety to its sound. As the band evolved founding members decided to go in different directions and Tommy Morell added his brother, Joey Morell and Rene Hayes. The music grew with more dance tunes and slowly left its acoustic roots. The band’s family feeling remained. Rene married, now Rene Littell and moved away and was replaced by Tommy and Joey’s sister Dionne Poirier. Now Key West was truly family with all the Morell siblings. Joey passed away from heart related problems in September of 2003 and the band took a short break.

Rene Littell returned home soon after Joey’s death ready to play again and rejoined Tommy and Dionne. Then in May 2004, we added Bart Cochcroft. Key West is now a four piece band with each person fitting in place like family. Everyone in the band feels like they are here for life.
